Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Feener) Sanderson.
Bud was a Navy veteran of WWII and served on the USS St. Louis. He worked as a painting contractor for many years.
His father and father’s brother had owned the Hanes CeBrook Ice Cream Factory near Buchanan Bridge in Lynn for many years.
He leaves a son Richard E. Sanderson of Natchez, MS, a sister-in-law and devoted companion for the past 17 years Dorothy A. Sanderson of Swampscott, a sister Judy Nevers of NH, 3 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late John and George Sanderson and Muriel Burnham Simon.
Services will be private with burial in Mississippi. Arrangements by the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn.
