Gloria Farnkoff

Mrs. Gloria (Collins) Farnkoff, age 82, formerly of Danvers, died Monday at Atria Assisted Living in Newburyport. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Farnkoff with whom she shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Gloria was the daughter of the late Gus and Midred (Farrell) Collins. She enjoyed bingo, horse racing, car racing and casinos. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She leaves her children, James Farnkoff, Jr. and wife Patricia of TX, Daniel Farnkoff and wife Donna of Peabody, Dianne Waters and husband Edward of Lynn, Wendy Ames and husband Donald of Newburyport, Michael Farnkoff and wife Beverly of South Boston, Debra Rowe and husband David of NJ, Lynn Lundgren and husband Fredrick of NH, Joanne McDonald of Peabody, Donna McCormick and husband David of NH, and Mark Farnkoff of Middleton. Gloria also leaves 26 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Edward Collins and wife Barbara of Saugus and the late Roland Collins.

Gloria’s Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn Street, Peabody on Thursday at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
