Harry W. Rocker

Born in Lynn, Harry was the son of Rhoda (Clements) Rocker of Lynn and the late Clayton M. Rocker, Sr. He attended Lynn Schools, was a graduate of UMASS Boston and resided here his entire life. He worked in various capacities from construction to being a counselor in Lynn.

In his early years, Harry was an avid bowler and was well known in basketball leagues throughout Lynn. More recently, he enjoyed trips to the horse track.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his children, Loren W. Rocker and his wife Lisa of Danvers, Jeffrey Rocker of Peabody and Bonita Gainey and Antoine Holland both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Antoine C. Rocker and his wife Lorri of Lynn, Mable E. Gaskins and her husband Richard of Newark, Delaware, Helen I. Joia and her husband Lawrence of Hagerstown, Maryland and Sylvia H. Stokes of Washington, DC. He also leaves his sisters in law, Marie “Barbara” Rocker of Lynn, Gail P. Rocker of Peabody and Mary Rocker of Lynn; his longtime companion, Diane Holland of Lynn as well as 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Clayton "Puggy" M. Rocker, David C. Rocker and Frank "Ding" H. Rocker.

Visiting Hours in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday from 3-7PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Gifts in Harry’s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
