John A. Beane

John A. Beane, age 67, of Hartford, Vermont, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Robin L. "Wescott" Beane of Hartford, Vermont, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

John was the loving father of Lorraine Baline and her husband Matthew of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer Beane of Hartford, Vermont, and Andrew Beane and his wife Alexandra of Brooklyn, New York. He was the very devoted grandfather of Ava, Alexander, Lily, Maggie, Samuel and Alden. Being a father and a grandfather meant everything to him and he was given the nickname “Didad” by his grandchildren. He loved going on adventures and spoiling his grandchildren whenever he had the opportunity.

Born in Lynn, he was the third born son of the late Donald F. Beane and Marie Vincent (Johnson). He was the dear brother of Richard Beane, the late Joel Beane, Julie Ramage, Cindy Carpenter, and Elizabeth Saltzman.

He grew up on the North Shore and was a resident of the State of Massachusetts until 2016. He had many friends in Melrose where his children grew up and then later in Amesbury. John was a jack of many trades, he had a great love of cars, and was a certified auto mechanic for many years before turning to driving school buses and teaching driver's education.

John was a devout Catholic and spent a lot of time volunteering and participating at the church. One of his fondest memories was getting to sing as cantor at the shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in Enfield, NH.

John's Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 10:30am in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street, Lynn - please meet directly at church. His burial will be private

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
