John J. Beatty, III

John James Beatty, III passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2025. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Susan (Smithers) Beatty, and leaves behind his loving daughter, Michele O’Meara, son-in-law, James O’Meara, and grandson, JJ, who was his entire world.

He is the beloved son of the late John Beatty and Sally (Salerno) Beatty. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Jo Hynes, and partner, Kevin Todd; his brother, Thomas Beatty; his brother Joseph Beatty and wife, Heather Beatty. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

John was a graduate of Revere High school class of ’78 and Boston College, class of ‘83. He worked in the financial district and was extensively involved in real estate. John loved traveling and New England sports.

John was a devoted family man and loving “Papa” to JJ with whom he spent his every free moment. John was a most caring and supportive husband, dearly missing his wife, Susan. We take solace in knowing he is with her, his parents, and many other loved ones once again.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
