
Born and raised in Lynn, John was the son of the late John C. and Margaret (James) Mullen. He attended Lynn Classical High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during WWII.
Prior to his retirement, John spent many years as a laborer for Lynn Sand and Stone. He was a member of the American Legion William P. Connery Post 6, the Young Men’s Civic Club and Massachusetts Laborer’s Union.
John is survived by his grandchildren: Richard Clark, Darlene Atteridge, Stephen Centerrino, Stephen Currier, and Victoria Armstrong. He was the Great Grandfather of 9. John is predeceased by his son, John E. (Mullen) Currier, daughter, Sheila M. Inferrera and grandson Lincoln Clark. John was the brother of the late William J., Roy C., and Margaret E. Sullivan.
John’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 11:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to DAV Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
