Katherine Celeste Matos

Born in Salem, Kati was the daughter of Karen Perez of Lynn and Amilcal Matos of Swampscott. She attended Lynn Schools and was due to graduate from Lynn Vocational Technical High School.

Kati was an avid music lover. She was always smiling, very loveable and loved hugs. She especially enjoyed Christmas time and her Christmas tree.

In addition to her parents, Kati leaves her siblings: Mercedes Matos and Alexander Franco both of Lynn and Enrique Matos and Josiah Matos both of Swampscott. She was the granddaughter of Jose Perez and Anna Hernandez of Lynn and Maria Matos and the late Enrique Matos of the Dominican Republic. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kati’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Saturday at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Upper Church at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kati’s memory may be sent to the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Dr. Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
