Leo N. Cormier

Mr. Leo N. Cormier, age 88, of Lynn, died peacefully on Thursday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita (Bouchard) Cormier.

Born in Lynn, Leo was the son of the late Albert and Suzanne (Theosine) Cormier.

Leo enjoyed upholstery, playing pool, playing cards and was a member of the Franco American Post 161 in Lynn.

He leaves his daughter: Pauline M. Foley and her husband Robert of Lynn and his granddaughter, Elizabeth Breen and her husband Aaron of Winthrop. He was the brother of Lenny Cormier and his wife Sharon of Canada and Marie Lillydale and her husband Bill of Lynn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jerry and Adrien Cormier, Alva Noone, Albertine Killalea, and Annette Scribelli.

Leo’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Monday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Jean’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6PM. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
