Lorraine Brogi Stephenson

Mrs. Lorraine (Brogi) Stephenson, age 84, of Saugus, died Friday at Union Hospital, Lynn after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Walter Stephenson, with whom she was married for 48 years on August 31st.

She was the daughter of the late Octave and Louise (Brousseau) Brogi. Lorraine grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School. She lived in Saugus for the past 46 years. She was a supervisor for 20 years for New England Telephone, first in the Revere office and then in the Boston office. She took courses at Salem State College in creative writing, sculpturing and painting. She and Walter loved to travel and visited Italy, Switzerland, England and several National Parks.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter Susan Lemure and her husband Gary of Saugus, two granddaughters Nicole Lopez and Shauna Grassa both of Saugus, five great-grandchildren and two nieces. She was the sister of the late Octave Brogi, Arlene Brogi and Louise Stone.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 AM. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. Visiting hours Monday only 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Avenue, Salem 01970.
