

Mabel Mary (Comeau) Jodoin, a long-time resident of Lynn, passed away at the age 92 on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Born in Lynn on July 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelina Comeau. Mabel was raised in Lynn and educated at St. Jeans School then attended St. Anne's Academy in Marlborough. Growing up in a huge household of brothers and sisters, Mabel found her true calling to be a nurturing mother. She was a devoted homemaker and wife to the late Richard C. Jodoin, whom passed in September of 2016, and a dedicated mother to her 7 children. Her children gave her a new generation to care for as she was blessed with 16 grandchildren to love. Mabel was a dedicated Catholic and was a communicant of St. Pius V. Church in Lynn as well as a member of the Ladies’ Sodality.
Mabel is survived by her children: Paul Jodoin and his wife, Karen of Lynnfield, Philip Jodoin and his wife, Kelly of Lynn, Peter Jodoin of Saugus, John Jodoin and his wife, Nancy of Peabody, Mary Kurpiel and her husband, Peter of Lynn, Janet Conti and her husband, Adam of Swampscott, and Susan Bateman and her husband, Stephen of Salisbury, her 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her siblings: Henry Comeau of VA, Lawrence Comeau and his wife, Alice of Danvers, Pauline Reczek of Peabody, and Anna Bourke of Reading. Mabel was preceded in death byher grandson, Philip Matthew Jodoin as well as her siblings: Amos Comeau, Alfred Comeau, Andrew Comeau, Wallace Comeau, Sister Marie Comeau, Stella Brown and Mabel Comeau. Several nieces and nephews survive her as well.
Funeral from the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St. Lynn at 9am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 16thfrom 4 to 8pm.
