Margaret "Florence" Gallant

Margaret “Florence” Gallant, age 88, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Monday, October, 25, 2016 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was born on April 29, 1928 in Lynn, the daughter of the late, Leo M. Gallant, Sr. and Mary (Hughes). She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School.

Margaret “Florence” had worked as an administrative assistant at New England Power in Salem for many years. She was an avid knitter who enjoyed playing BINGO and loved a challenging puzzle.

She is survived by her brother, Leo M. Gallant, Jr. of Lynn and her sisters; Mary A. Nichols of Saugus, Loretta M. LaRocque of Fremont, NH and Teresa E. Goad of Newton, NH. Margaret “Florence” is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph E. Gallant.

Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret “Florence’s” visitation on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11 AM at St. Pius V Church in Lynn. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Jean Cemetery in Lynn.
