Maria Grace Tegan

She was born in Italy on November 13, 1948 to the late Allesandro and Filomenia (Fabiano) Russo. In her early teenage years she moved to America with her family. She graduated from East Boston High School and then went on to further her education and earned her Associate’s Degree.

Maria worked as a Municipal Medicaid Billing Administrator for multiple school departments until her retirement. She loved cooking for her family, especially on Christmas when she would set up a store for her grandchildren. She enjoyed celebrating special milestones and events, being involved in multiple ministries at her church, spending summers by the ocean in Ogunquit, Maine. She was a proud published author of 3 children’s books.

Maria was the devoted wife to John Tegan, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She was the loving mother to Joseph Tegan and his wife Christina and Sandra (Tegan) Olsen and her husband Dan, cherished grandmother to Aaron, Marissa, Jessica Olsen, Joe Joe and Rocco Tegan. Sister to Phillip Russo and his wife Lorraine and John Russo.

Friends and family are invited to her celebration of life on Monday November 7, 2022 from 10 am – 11 am at Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street, Lynnfield. Please meet directly in the Prayer Chapel.

Per the family’s request, burial will be private.
