

Mrs. Marjorie C. (Larkin) Gaudet, age 91, formerly of Lynn, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Oxford Nursing Home, Haverhill surrounded by her family and the wonderful Oxford nursing staff. She was the wife of the late Emil J. Gaudet.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Margaret (Callahan) Larkin. She was raised and educated in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School in 1941.
Marjorie was employed at the G.E. River Works and at Salem State College as a secretary for many years, and was also an employee of Manpower for 20 years.
She was a member of the Cuddles Group of the North Andover Senior Center. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and an avid fan and volunteer for the Wyoma Little League. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing Bingo , painting, gardening, and travelling. She was also a member of the DESA WWII Veterans Group and travelled to many reunions across the country with her husband.
She leaves two daughters Valerie J. Little and her husband Charles of Atkinson, NH, and Barbara Champigny of Naples, FL, a son Edward J. Gaudet and his wife Annette of Revere, five grandchildren Meghan, Caitlin and Fallon Gaudet, Joseph Leone and Emily Champigny, a great-grandaughter Ysabella, a cousin Mary Bogardus of Bath, NY, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church Lynn a t10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM.
