Michael Stinson

Born in Lynn, Mike was the son of Carolyn (Riley) Stinson of Lynn and the late Winford L. Stinson Jr. He attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School Class of 1981. He was a proud member of Classical’s 1979 Superbowl Team.

Mike worked as a Respiratory Therapist at the Merrimack Valley Hospital for over 23 years. He was a member of the A.O.H. Division#10 in Lynn and former member of Valladolid Council #70 Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan and enjoyed walking Lynn Beach and Lynn Woods. Above all, he enjoyed attending his daughter’s basketball games and also worked as a scorekeeper for Lynn English Basketball games for 8 years.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his three daughters, Angelica J. Sullo, Gabrielle C. Stinson and Catherine L. Stinson, and his former wife Meta (Jackson) Stinson all of Lynn. He was the brother to Susan M. MacCune and her husband John of Scituate and Audra H. Kebreau and her late husband James of Lynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He loved, and was loved by them all and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Visitation will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday from 3-7PM. A Celebration of his Life will be held during the Visitation at 6:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108.
