

Muriel J. (Faulkner) Egan, 74, of Lynn, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 10 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Egan, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly, Muriel was the daughter of the late Neil C. and the late Elizabeth W. (Foss) Faulkner. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School and the Salem Hospital School of Nursing.
Muriel’s nursing career began at Salem Hospital where she was a charge nurse in the nursery. After taking time off to raise her children, she resumed her career as an R.N. working for Dr. John Bucchiere, and then worked as a one-on-one nurse for severely disabled students in the Lynn Public Schools.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted daughters, Debra Roy of Lynn, Linda and her husband MA State Police Lt. Kevin Condon of Swampscott and Christine and her husband USAF Col. Timrek Heisler of Rota, Spain; her grandchildren, the loves of her life, Lindsay and Rachael Roy, Christopher and Erin Condon and Zachary and Cameron Heisler. She is also survived by her sisters Janice Zinn of Medford, OR and Dorothy Mitchell of Largo, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Muriel’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Sunday at 1:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are Saturday from 3-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
