Nancy Lee Merryman

Nancy Lee Merryman, age 78, passed away after a brief illness peacefully and surrounded by family on September 3, 2021. She was born October 22, 1942, to Eva Eamma and Santo Pascucci. She married her longtime friend and love, Robert H. Merryman, in October of 1960 who preceded her in death in 2010. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Lynn.

Nancy was a kind and loving motherly figure to all that knew her. She opened her home to anyone in need and often had friends or family living with her when they had no other place to go. This kindness and generosity was something that she greatly valued and instilled in her children who will continue on her legacy.

Nancy was an avid animal lover and adopted many pets that needed homes over her lifetime. She always carried dog bones in her pocket to give to any dog she came across. Additionally, she would leave food and shelter for the stray cats in the neighborhood.

For many years Nancy worked in the Lynn Public School’s cafeteria. It suited her servant's heart. Nancy could often be found sneaking cookies or other treats to some of her favorite students.

Nancy is survived by her son Robert A. Merryman and his wife Christy Merryman of Lynn; her daughter Andrea Merryman-Hill and her husband Peter Hill of Peabody; her son Victor Smith of Lynn; her cherished and beloved grandchildren Omri Merryman, Rowan Merryman, Bobbi Merryman, John Ogles and Andrew Ogles; her sisters Pattee Gregory and Barbara DiFlumeri; her brothers Harwood Bullock and Frank Eamma; many nieces and nephews; and her precious cat Sadie. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers Thomas Pascucci and Robert Pascucci. Nancy also leaves behind many others close to her heart such as Annie Calef, Berta Nalbandian, Earnest Pharm and Caroline Pharm.

Services will be held at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. The wake will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Funeral service for Nancy will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 AM with interment at Pine Grove Cemetery immediately following.
