Norma P. Wing Sheehan

Mrs. Norma P. (Wing) Sheehan, age 87, formerly of Lynn, died on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Additon-Gilbert Hospital, Gloucester, after a brief illness.. She was the wife of John J. “Jack” Sheehan, with whom she had been married for 26 years.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lilly (Parks) Wing. Norma graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1943. She lived in Lady Lake, Florida for over 25 years.

She enjoyed knitting, painting, darts, and bowling. She also loved to golf and once got a hole-in-one. She and Jack also loved to travel.

In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters Phyllis Cameron and her partner Larry Murphy of Gloucester, and Carol Ridlon and her husband Vic of Lynn , three step-sons Jay, Timothy and David Sheehan, 4 grandchildren Holly Willis of Salem, Melissa Willis of Concord, NH, Mathew Willis of Seattle, WA and Kevin Ridlon of No. Chelmsford, 4 step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Laurence, Herbert and Lewis Wing and Eleanor Milley.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake Street, Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited to gather inside the Main Gate at 10:45AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
