

Norval Douglas Bryant, 52, of Lynn, died unexpectedly of a work related injury on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Malcolm Norval Bryant and Mary Pauline (Milotte) Bryant. Norval graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute and North Shore Community College. He was an accomplished Carpenter sought after for his excellent workmanship in the Lynn area for many years.
Norval was the beloved brother of Don and Joy Bryant of Thailand, Lynne and Dana Henry of Feeding Hills, Ellen and Paul Patterson of Lynn, Claire and Tom Conway, Kathy and Dave Bishop, all of Danvers, and Bobby and Debbie Bryant of Wilmington; the cherished uncle of Amber and Dylan Bryant, Kyle and Krystal Henry, Meghan Henry, Amy and Chris Lovely, Sarah and Shane Patterson, Patrick and Claudia Conway, Michael and Katelyn Conway, Janelle Conway, Kelli, David and Sean Bishop and Bobby Bryant; and the adoring great-uncle to five great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived, and will be dearly missed, by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. From 1996 to 1999, Norval brought joy to many, as the Mad Dogs' Mascot, "Spike." Norval had a passion for all sports, camping and was an avid and excellent skier.
Norval will be remembered most for his vibrant smile while singing and dancing to his favorite karaoke songs. According to one of his many friends, Norval once said, “Music isn't just an art, it's a language that bring us together, it's more than just melodies; it's words that everyone can understand. It's an emotion, it's a journey!”
Funeral Arrangements; Norval’s funeral will be held at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Friday, January 15th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St, Lynn. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Norval’s memory to My Brother’s Table, 98 Willow Street, Lynn, MA 01901.
