Peter J. Arslanian

Mr. Peter J. Arslanian, age 82, of Lynn, died peacefully Friday after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Hines) Arslanian, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Peter was born in Havana, Cuba and was the son of the late Jack and Archalous (Harian) Arslanian.

Peter worked as an educator in the Lynn Public School System for 33 years. He was the head of the History Department at Lynn Classical High School prior to becoming the principal in 1986, a position he held for 7 years. Peter enjoyed life and was particularly proud of his Armenian heritage. He loved travelling, working in his garden, Cape Cod and his winter home in Florida.

In addition to his wife, he survived by his brother Oscar Arslanian and his wife Nyla of Hollywood, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his sisters; Alice, Rose, and Flora.

Visiting Hours will be held at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday from 4-8PM. Relatives and friends invited. Funeral Services are private.
