

Priscilla Mary McDonald, 92, of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026. She was born on October 1,1933 to the late Arthur and Murtie Clay. Priscilla was a lifelong resident of Lynn and a proud 1951 graduate of Lynn English High School.
A woman of steadfast faith and a devoted Catholic, Priscilla’s life was defined by her unconditional love for her family. She shared many wonderful years with her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, Robert McDonald, until his passing in 1983. Together, they built a home centered on kindness and unwavering love and support.
Priscilla dedicated many years to the Lynn Public Schools, where she served as the Union Treasurer and worked in the school cafeterias. She took great pride in her work, greeted every student with a warm smile and found joy in the simple daily connections she made with her community.
Priscilla found her greatest happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She cherished summers spent at the lake creating memories with her children and her many friends. In her retirement, she loved retreating to her winter home in Florida to be with some of her closest friends. Whether she was enjoying a long day of shopping, getting lost in a good book or engaging in a competitive game of cards. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert and three of their children, Gayle Lento, John McDonald and James McDonald, and her siblings, Robert Clay and Martha Smith (Hersey).
Her legacy of strength and devotion lives on through her surviving children, Robert McDonald, Annmarie McDonald, Nancy Bohanon and her husband, Richard, and Thomas McDonald and his wife, Velvet . She was the proud sister of Lawrence “Laurie” Clay and Suzanne Coombs. She also leaves her son-in-law, Carl Lento. She was a grandmother, a great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. In addition, she leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her spunky spirit.
A visitation will be held in the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home in Lynn, MA on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 10-11 AM with a service at 11AM. Interment will follow in St Joseph’s Cemetery in Lynn. All are welcome in celebrating and honoring Priscilla’s life
