Robert S. Calder

Robert S. Calder, 87, of Lynn, died Tuesday, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Carl and Bertha (Hedtler) Calder. Bob was the beloved husband of Lucianne (Fabucci) Calder for 62 years ; the loving father of Janet Calder-Miller and her husband, Frank Miller of Beverly, Robert Calder and his wife, Donna Calder of Lynn, Paul Calder and Giovanna Galbiati of Saugus and the late John Calder; the cherished grandfather of Christopher Tedesco, Jenna Rathe and her husband, Jerry, and Kristen, Michael and Jeffery Calder; the adoring great-grandfather of Lilah Rathe; the dear brother of the late Carl Calder; and the uncle of several nieces and nephews. Bob graduated from Lynn English High School with the class of 1946 and served in the U.S. Navy right after graduation. He worked for Sun Oil for over 35 years until his retirement. He also was the co-owner of Bob’s Sunoco in Lynn for over 10 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Valladolid Council #70 in Lynn. He enjoyed spending time with his entire family especially his grandchildren. Bob’s funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn on Saturday, January 16th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St, Lynn. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 15th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
