Robert L. "Bob" Leslie

Robert Lawrence Leslie, a life-long resident of Lynn, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in the NSMC – Salem Hospital at the age of 67. Born in Lynn on March 7, 1950, he was the son of John M. Leslie, Jr. of Peabody and Helen L. (Frary) Lemachia of Lynn. Bob was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He then went on to serve in the U. S. Army Reserves for four years. Bob was a long-time employee with G.E. working in various roles, his main job being in charge of the tool crib, from 1973 until his retirement. He was a great lover of animals, especially cats, and he took care of many through the years.

Robert leaves his parents, John M. Leslie, Jr. of Peabody, his mother, Helen L. Lemachia of Lynn, his brother, John M. Leslie of Arizona as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, the late William “Bill” Leslie.

A Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 3 pm. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home prior to the service from 12 to 3 pm. A Graveside Service will conclude services on Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston St. Lynn at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
