

Mr. Robert H. Seger, age 72, of Lynn, died Tuesday in Salem Hospital after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer D. (DeBonis) Seger, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
Born in Bangor, Maine, he was the son of the late Richard and Barbara (Cormier) Seger. He was born and raised in Bangor and came to Lynn at the age of 19. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement in 2004, he spent over 30 years as a painter and glazer for the Lynn Public Schools. He previously worked at the Quincy Ship Yard, a local roofer and was a Machinist for Maynard Plastics in Salem.
Robert enjoyed NASCAR, most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching the Wildlife Channel and National Geographic, and loved camping at Wellington Camping Park in Lee, NH.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Mark R. Seger of Peabody and Lisa A. Dow of Lynn. He was the grandfather to Anthony, Taylor and Sarah Seger and Hunter and Aidan Dow. He was the brother of Richard Seger of Danvers and Roberta Musson of Ohio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the loving nephew of the late Alda Roberts.
Robert’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8PM.
