

Mr. Ronald E. Bloom, Sr., age 74, of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lynn on February 27, 1945 to his beloved parents Oscar and Ruth (Taylor) Bloom. He was the cherished husband of Cheryl (Veloudis) Bloom with whom he shared 51 wonderful years.
Ron graduated from Lynn Trade High School in 1964. After high school, he went on to join the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. After his service, he would go on to be a supervisor at a box manufacturing company for many years. However, in his retirement he began to work at a local bowling alley. He especially loved to work there because he was able to brighten people’s day.
In addition to his loving wife Cheryl Bloom, he leaves his beloved children Tammy McCullough and her husband Phil, Jason Bloom and his wife Cecilia, and Ronald E. Bloom, Jr. and his wife Rosezetta, his brother Norman Bloom, his sister Ruth Durant and her husband Herb, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ronald’s graveside service in Pine Grove Cemetery on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 11AM. Kindly gather inside the Boston Street main entrance at 10:45AM. There will be a Celebration of Ron’s Life at a later date.
