

Born in Lynn, Rose was the daughter of the late Paul and Louise (Capozzi) Lima. She attended Lynn Schools and was a lifelong resident of Lynn.
Prior to her retirement in 1995, Rose worked as a Transporter as well as a Mail Clerk at the Lynn Hospital and later at the Union Hospital.
Rose was a faithful communicant of Saint Pius V Parish and was a member of the Choir. An accomplished artist, she enjoyed painting, cake decorating, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Franco American Ladies Auxiliary, the Mother of Twins Club and was a Den Mother for many years. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Rose was #1!
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Jewish Rehabilitation Center for their love, respect and adoration to Rose during her time with them.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Joseph Roy, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Chicago, IL, David Roy of Lynn, Karen Lavino and her partner Tracy Mishel of Peabody, Kathryn McGinnis and her husband James, Claire McQuarrie and Adrienne Simpson-Reed and her partner Kathleen Reed all of Lynn. She was the sister of Florence Lima of Lynn and Angelina Williams of Danvers. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur Lima and Grace Lombardi.
Rose’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Jean’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Gifts in Rose’s memory may be sent to the Jewish Rehabilitation Center, 330 Paradise Rd. Swampscott, MA 01907 or the All Care Hospice, 16 City Hall Sq. Lynn, MA 01901.
