

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Brodbine) Ryan. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1941. She later graduated with her Master’s Degree in Reading from Bridgewater State College.
Prior to her retirement, Sally was a teacher at the Drewicz Elementary School in West Lynn and also taught at Bridgewater State College. She was a former member of the Order of Sisters of Charity of Halifax for 20 years. Sally greatly enjoyed reading, sewing and tutoring. She will be remembered as a fiercely independent woman with a fiery personality who enjoyed spending time with her large family of siblings and countless nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Although she had no children of her own, she was a loving caregiver who will be dearly missed by her family.
She leaves two sisters, Rita Maher of Peabody and Sr. Frances Ryan, SC of Newton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Kathleen Muldoon, Joseph Ryan and Rose Mary Watson.
A Memorial Visitation will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday from 9:00-11:00AM followed by a Memorial Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifs in her memory may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
