Sean M. Therrien

November 1, 1981 – January 30, 2026

There are no words that can truly capture the heartbreak of losing someone so suddenly, yet we try here to honor the life and love of Sean Therrien—a devoted partner, father, son, brother, and friend taken far too soon.

Sean grew up in Lynn, graduated from Lynn Technical High School, and later made his home in Peabody. He was a hardworking family man whose life revolved around the people he loved most.

Sean leaves behind his partner, Rebecca Carp, and his two sons, Justin (23) and Tyler (17). He is also survived by his father, Peter; his brother Eric and sister-in-law Jamie; his sisters Holly and Katie; and two beloved nieces who meant the world to him.

Those who knew Sean will remember his great sense of humor, his generous heart, and the pride he took in providing for his family. When he wasn’t working, he loved riding dirt bikes, four-wheeling, building and racing RC cars, and spending time with his kids—always finding ways to make people laugh and feel welcome.

Sean was lost at sea on the Lily Jean following a maritime incident off the coast of Gloucester. Search and rescue efforts were conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard, and while official determinations are still pending, Sean’s family has been informed of his passing. This fundraiser is being created during an unimaginably painful and uncertain time, as his loved ones begin to process this sudden loss while awaiting formal procedures to be completed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
