Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, he was the son of Everett A. Lane of Lynn and the late Constance M. (Courtois) Lane. He attended Lynn Schools, was a graduate of Lynn English High School and resided in Lynn for most of his life.
Steven worked as a mechanic and maintenance engineer for several companies in the North Shore area. He enjoyed camping and his dog, Jake.
In addition to his father, Steven leaves his two sons, Thomas Lane and his wife Tabitha of Haverhill and Christopher Lane; One brother, Bradford S. Lane and his wife Beverly of Lynn; 2 sisters, Cindy R. McManus and her late husband Patrick McManus of Lynn and Donna J. Galligan and her husband Paul of Lynn. He was “Pop” to Noelle, Maxwell and Maggie and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday from 4-6PM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Heart Association PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
