

LYNN – Theodore C. Bushway, Jr., 81, a lifelong resident of Lynn, MA passed away on Monday, May 21st. Born and educated in Lynn, he was the son of the late Theodore and Virginia Bushway. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School with the Class of 1954. He served as a Sea Bee in the Naval Reserves and worked as an electrician in the Battery Division at Polaroid in Waltham for many years prior to his retirement.
Ted was the beloved husband of Mary Catherine (Martin) Bushway of Lynn with whom he shared 58 years of marriage; the loving father of Theodore C. Bushway and his wife, Cris of Illinois, Robert Bushway and his wife, Diana of Salem, Barry Bushway and his wife, Maria of Boxford and Matthew Bushway and his wife, Erin of Lynn, the cherished grandfather of Robert, Daniel, Adam, Amanda, Molly, Matthew, Brendan and Catherine; and the adoring great-grandfather of Sara, Madison and Molly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ted was a former member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Lynn and of its St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, including those at Polaroid. Ted also loved woodworking and designing and building gifts for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Theodore’s funeral will be held on Saturday, May 26th from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, Lynn. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Theodore’s memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple St., Lynn, MA 01904.
