William L. Quigley

91 of Saugus, formerly of Lynn passed away on October 13, 2017. Bill was the cherished and adored husband for 31 years of Priscilla (Kramer) Quigley of Saugus. Beloved son of the late John Henry Quigley and Louise (West) Quigley. Dear brother of Vira and the late John, Avis, Jessie and Herbert. Devoted father of Kathleen, Lawrence, Shawn, Rebecca and James. Dear grandfather of 11. Beloved step-father of Deborah and Matthew.

Bill was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War as a proud member of the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, Bill joined the Lynn Police Department in 1951. Bill protected and served as a Lynn Police Officer for 40 years, retiring as a Sergeant in 1991.

Bill enjoyed walking along the beach with his beloved wife Priscilla. He also enjoyed spending his time as a member of the American Legion, the Volunteer Yacht Club of Lynn, the V.F.W, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and as a lobsterman.

Family and friends are invited to attend Bill’s visitation on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 5-8 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Guests are asked to arrive no earlier than 10 AM. Burial with U.S. Navy Honors will follow the service in Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston Street in Lynn.
