

Born in Henderson, NC, Willie was the son of the late Will and Cherry McGhee. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during WW II and the Korean Conflict, being honorably discharged in October of 1956.
Prior to his retirement, Willie owned his own cab medallion in Boston and was a former member of the Independent Taxi Operator Association.
He leaves two daughters: Judy Harmon and Gale Gaines both of North Carolina. He also leaves several nieces and nephews including Joanna Adrien and her husband William of Salisbury. He was also the beloved great uncle to Eleana and Bryant Adrien and Todd Long.
Willie’s Memorial Service will be held in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Memorial visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date. Gifts in Willie’s memory may be sent to New England Center for homeless Veterans 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108.
