Marian and David I am so sorry for your loss there are no words to share at this time that will help take away the immense pain your heart must be in. I was there with you both the day Avery was born he was months to early but no one was going to keep him from joining us that day. I always called him our miracle baby, his birth truly was a miracle, Jesus was with him then and he is with him now. Avery I last saw you when you were 13 and it is clear from all the messages that you grew into an amazing young man. My prayers and thoughts are with your family now. They lost you far too soon, but just knowing you are one of our angels smiling that incredible smile and dancing on the clouds will bring us all some peace.

David and Marion:  I was very saddened to hear about the loss of your son, Avery.  I remember meeting him at a little baseball game years ago and thinking he looked a lot like you when you were younger David.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  May the time with family and friends today sustain you for the months and years ahead.

Avery was 10 years old when I moved to the neighborhood in 2003. He was smart, outgoing and respectful, but loved a good harmless prank. He had physical challenges, but one day I saw him ridding a unicycle in the middle of road, with a big smile on his face. For me that day really summed him up. An unstoppable young man that was quick with a smile and he was going places; his way. 

David & Marian, I am so sorry that Avery left this earth at such a young age, but I was truly blessed to have know him.

Avery was sweet and his personality shone upon his colleagues. I worked with Avery a short time, but in that time we shared success stories; best practices, and truly collaborated as brothers towards the same cause. He was always there to give advice and share his knowledge. A true honor to have worked with Avery, and my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Avery was our neighbor until he was 8 years old. He was always so happy and fun to be around. I am now very sad that we lost touch with him and his family. Our prayers go out to Dave and Marian and family.

I'm so deeply sadden by this tragedy but forever greatful and so honored that I had the opportunity to babysit you and your siblings when you were a little boy and most of all to have known you. I looked forward to everytime I got to see you and how much you loved it when I'd bring my little sister Renae over to play with you. You were the most energetic, loving, happy and fun little boy which has still carried on with you throughout your life. I've never forgotten you and you'll always be in my heart until we meet again. May you rest peacefully in the hands of our Heavenly Father forever.

I met him working in Macy's on a slow day in Fragrances,  he shared his likes and dislikes and we laughed!
I had the pleasure of running into him in Bell Square and Pacific Place while progressing within work force,  his Grandmother and I would talk about how proud she is!

I met you Avery a few times hanging with all the mutual friends of my son Luke Penney. 
I know he thought highly of you, looked up to you, cherished your friendship.  
You were a sweetheart guy with a million dollar smile, personality of love for life and the greatest respect for people. 
I don't know what i would do without my Luke so I can only imagine how painful a loss this is for your parents who gave you life and raised you right! 
Rest in peace my friend and may your death never be in vein!  You've left your imprint on some great young adults ! We will all miss you greatly and blessed to have known you!  I pray Gods peace and comfort for all those left behind to live on without you!

The universe just lost a child of pure radiant joy. Avery your soul was a beacon for so many to experience bubbly silliness, wonder, and play that is not so easily accessed by many of us. Thank you so much for your abundant gifts of love and kindness. I wish that I could have recognized you more for these gifts in life. 

One of the greatest qualities you seemed to possess was your unshakeable spirit. Your life was a life of triumph, generousity, and compassion. I'd say that very few who live to be far beyond your age could attest to achieving similar feats.

The world would be a better place if we embodied the bliss that you sought to manifest in so many people's lives each day.

Avery, what a gem. The smile shown here is how I will always remember him. I enjoyed our many neighborhood conversations, he was a fine young man full of optimism and dreams. I only got the chance to get to know you briefly. We spent the day together with friends on a boat a few weeks ago. It was a perfect, sunny Spring day. Though are time together wasn't long, one thing is for sure, I will never forget you Avery. You were a class act, a beautiful, friendly, witty and handsome young man.

I loved so much working with Avery. He was one of the kindest people I had the pleasure of knowing in a professional environment. Always positive, always smiling, he could always make me laugh or cheer me up on a tough day. I will very much miss seeing him around. My thoughts are with him and with his family.

We pray that God will grant you the peace and serenity to get through this and may the many good memories sustain you.  Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I adored Avery.  I remember signing him up for Traffic Safety classes and he would come in and tell me how it was going.  My prayers are with you all.  He was truly a light that shone bright in our school  Cindy Kuehn, GPHS Administrative Assistant in Counseling.

Dave & Marian, I cannot express how sad I am to hear this news.  Every time I think of Avery, I imagine him walking across the street to visit "Grammi".  She loved him coming over.  He was such a blessing and I am so very sorry for your loss.

Avery always had a way of making me smile around Cathcart. I never got to have him but we built a great teacher to kid friendship. He was always so kind and had a fun sparkle to his eyes when he was trying to make anyone smile. What a great person, and a huge loss in the world .
