Our beloved Mom, Barbara Jean Fenton (Dees) passed away on June 5th, 2016. She was born in Stanley, Oklahoma on June 20th, 1927.
She was a consummate homemaker and cook. She enjoyed planning and preparing meals for her family and friends. Anyone who had the pleasure of partaking in one of her meals, would not soon forget.
She loved to garden and keep house and took great pride in both and in her appearance. She delighted in her family and her great-grandchildren gave her an enormous amount of enjoyment and fun in her later years.
She endured many challenges in life and overcame them with dignity and grace. Even in the face of these challenges she remained steadfast, kind and upbeat. We loved you deeply and miss you dearly.
At times it’s easy to think you are selfish God in taking her from us. Then thinking, you are so smart in taking the best! So, please enjoy her and all the Angels that have joined You already and please save a seat for us!
A public viewing will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 25th from 1-5pm and from 9am-12:30pm on Sunday June 26th, followed by a Graveside Committal Service at 1:30pm in the Azalea Garden. Family and friends of Barbara’s are encouraged to attend.
