

Bert Lobberegt, age 83 of Snohomish, Washington passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, with his loving wife Nancy by his side. Bert was born to Bert and Elizabeth Lobberegt of Seattle, Washington on May 23, 1941. Bert attended and graduated from Mercer Island High School. After high school, Bert joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. He had a love of jazz music and playing the trombone. His career profession consisted in a field of mechanical design until he retired. He will be remembered for his love of classic cars and expert skills of detailed restoration. Bert was creative and a problem-solver with innovation. He was an all-around gifted craftsman. He was known for his casual dry wit and keen sense of irony. He found great pleasure in giving family and friends fun and thoughtful nostalgic gifts over the years. Bert joined Seattle Area Mini Owners Association (SAMOA) in club's first year of 1967. He was often found in his home shop working on his latest project, be it Mini-based or an improvement for home where he and Nancy lived for their 23yrs of marriage together. He lived life with a grateful heart to God for the countless blessings He provided throughout his journey here on this earth. Bert will be greatly missed and remembered for his charitable, kind, and sincere giving spirit by all who knew him.
Bert was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his wife Nancy, step-daughters Gina (Len) Dorcas, Angela (Bob) Jacobs and his sister DeAnne (Keith) Johnson of Rhode Island.
A private family service will be held in his honor. His memory forever treasured. Our family is grateful to know Bert is finally at peace.
