Charles Ambrose Roybal was born in Bolder, Colorado December 21, 1928. He began his journey to a new life on May 21, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Patricia and Bill Spear, Pamela and Duane Goeman, Charles R. Roybal and Michael Roybal; grandchildren, Anthony Roybal, Benjamin Roybal and Isabella Roybal; brother, Theodore Roybal; and sisters, Genevieve Davis, Fedelina de Aguero, Eva Van Ry, Della Yue, Vera Butler, Ruth Miller and Linda Belzer. His extended family included numerous nieces, nephews and others who loved him dearly.
Charles had a passion for teaching. He retired as a beloved teacher from Kent Meridian High School and also taught at Green River Community College.
His love for music, art, and ministries with Spanish speaking people will be long remembered.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, May 27, at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills. A gathering to follow in the reception area.
