Hey Hunny,

Just recently cracked a box of your signature "Chillable Red" in the high desert of Nevada with a couple of new friends.
Things are different now, but I think of you often, and at times, feel you close by saying "Hi" when you aren't watching over your kids, grandkids, family and Cindy and Sue, Lol....
We all miss you. You were the best of us.


Dolly gifted me this yellow rose bush when I bought my house -1998!  I moved it about 3 years ago and it’s thriving - it’s right next to a garden angel also gifted to me from Dolly.  Since I’d moved it, it has bloomed on meaningful dates that relate to Dolly.  Well today was no exception. On the third anniversary of her passing - my first flower opened - a true blessing & message.  
I just know she’s laughing & dancing with the angels up there! RIP my friend, you are missed and loved so much! 

Thinking of you quite often.  Missing the good old days on 7th Ave.  Thinking and going down Memory Lane with all our Life memories.  School, Boys, Family, Kids, and Life.  Painting Alisha Bedroom Pink.  LOL  LOL

Just thinking about you today and grateful for our long friendship.  Your positivity was contagious.  I talk to you often and still chuckle thinking about many of our fun times & memorable shenanigans we got into.  I miss you my friend but I know you’re always around me. Heavenly hugs Dolly! 

I think of you often and will miss you forever!

I had my baby sis and now my sister cant see her. I'm very sorry for her she is 4 months old.  every day i would ask my mom to go see her when she was still alive. i was 4 or 5. and i guess i waited for a long time.

She was my grandma.  I loved her very much and i was at the memorial. I cried when it got to the picture of me and her.  They say when your angels are in your dreams they visit you and she have not done that yet but i love you grammy, i love you grammy.

Just found this out and I'm so sorry. Dolly was my cousin her dad and my dad Bruce were brothers. Our families would get together alot. In the 60's. Dolly was my bridesmaid  in 1982 at a great outdoor wedding in Lake Forest Park. Sadly my husband passed in 2018 from cancer. After the wedding did not see any of the cousins. You drift apart. Alot of childhood great memories.  Love to you all. Julie

Darlene was a second mother to me, I have been best friends with her daughter Alecia for 20 years. I spent most of my days after school and everyday all day during summer vacation in the Cooper house, along with most of the neighborhood kids. Darlene aka mom was a very kind welcoming woman. She always had a smile on her face, and food in the oven. My most cherished childhood memories are held closely in my heart by her. She is forever missed and will never be forgotten. I wish I was able to attend the service to hold my closest friend in my arms. Just know that I love you mom and I carry you closely with me everyday.

My brother George (Jamie) introduced you as Darlene the first time we met and that name stuck with our family but you were the same warm hearted, fun person that everyone else seemed to know as Dolly.  We enjoyed every minute of knowing you whether it be late night poker games, day trips, or our signature Hawaiian cruise.  You were by far the best singer in the ship’s karaoke bar at closing time.
  
You taught us what love and courage means.  Thanks so much for being you and bringing joy to our family, especially my brother.  We will miss you so much!

We had so many plans, some fulfilled, others were not, but I was so lucky to have you by my side for those that were. Your courage inspired me, and your loving heart made me a better man. 
I will carry on, and bring your memory with me everywhere I go, in everything I do.
I will never forget all the things we talked about while watching the stars in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and all the warm summer nights we spent laughing together in the backyard. 
You were the finest person I ever had the honor of knowing, and will spend the rest of my life being thankful that you were in it.

Dolly and I were besties for the last 25 years.  I miss her so much and talk to her all the time.  We shared so many great talks,  adventures, life's disappointments and triumphs.  We reveled in our kids accomplishments and toasted just about anything.  Dolly was the most selfless and nurturing person I've had the privilege of knowing and being in my life.     She had so much to give and exuded the most positive and warm personality I've ever known.  She was so talented in the many things she'd loved to do.  
I will miss our epic road trips, deep conversations and the essence of who she was and how she embraced life.  Heaven has gained one special lady for sure -  until we meet again Dolly- you will always be in my heart and on my mind.  I love you like a Sister!

I was the oldest sibling, and often in charge in a household where we were frequently left to our own devices. I left for the U.S. Army when Dolly was barely 6 years old.  My recollections of her as a child are minimal, but I do remember that she was always happy, kept herself busy, and was never a problem. I also remember her as being a tough little kid who hung with the rest of us no matter what we did.  Most of my adult interaction was limited to rare family gatherings and equally rare phone calls.  My thoughts as she maintained her toughness while fighting her cancer, kept returning to, “why her?”  I, and others, have been places and put ourselves in situations that should have moved her to the end of the line, yet here we are. I can’t say I wish it were me, but I can say it shouldn’t be her. Somebody today said, “Maybe it was just her time”, but I can’t accept that.  I love her and will always miss her!     

The bond between me and my sister Dolly was always so strong. No matter what curves life threw us , My big sis always had my back she was always there to let me know things are okay we got this. We laughed we cried we did so much together making memories with her is going to be the hardest for me. The bond between two sisters as close in age that we were could never be broken. She was my rock she always had my back. How I'm going to miss her ,I love you forever and always big sis to the Moon and back until we meet again I know you're watching over me and my loved ones you are now my angel. LOVE YOU YOUR LITTLE SIS GAYLENE😘

Woke up this morning and it still doesn't feel real. Two weeks ago when I saw you, you told me you will always be with me and be there to catch me when I fall. I feel you with me now. We had such a great day that day. We laughed and cried, but mostly laughed. I will cherish all the memories we shared together. Thank you for being the best auntie a girl could ask for. You were like my second mama. Rest easy now auntie. Your spirit is free and heaven gained a beautiful angel 💕

Auntie dolly from your home made chicken noodle soup to your hugs, loves, snuggles and kisses I'll always cherish the time I got to spend with you.  Your long beautiful black hair with red lip stick and heels. As I'll always remember you. 
Your unconditional love and laughs when Alecia and i would tie down the cat's to the baby stroller or when we would fight over who got to dress Cody and do his hair when he was little. The times we would go catch huge frogs with Dan and put them in the pool and come back coverd in smelly muddy swamp water.  These memories will never fade even as time goes on.  I know your in heaven looking down on us and watching over us all. 
Thank you Auntie for holding and loving on my babies tell we all meet again.

It is with a heavy and sad heart ❤️ that I remember the great times with my best friend, Darlene Cooper (Dolly). I have known Dolly for 20+ yrs. She was my neighbor in Lake Tapps and our oldest sons grew up together. She was always kind, generous, loving, funny and a best friend who listened. She was so proud of her 3 adult children-Dan, Alecia and Cody! She always thought and talked about you 3 and her beautiful granddaughter, Aryonnah. We had terrific girls road trips to Oceana, Lake Wenatchee, La Conner and many other places -  “THE POSSE”. Most I miss you Dolly our times having fun in Bonney Lake back in the day. You had a beautiful voice and gorgeous long hair! I so enjoyed our times listening to you sing 🎤 (karaoke).  You are free of pain and at peace my friend!  So brave, positive and courageous. We had some great laughs recently. Keep smiling and singing my friend. Love 💗 you.

One of the best memories I have with my auntie Dolly was in 2010, one month after my daughter was born. I had complications with my c-section and had to have a second surgery. Without hesitation, she came to stay with us for a week while my husband went back to work and took care of my baby girl and I. All three of us bonded so much that week. She was always so nurturing and soft spoken. I will miss hearing the words "auntie loves you" spoken in her soft, sweet voice. I remember when I was a little girl and would go visit her at the Lake Tapps house; I loved going into her closet and trying on all her high heels. She would let me wear them around the house and I always felt so pretty. If you knew Dolly, then you know she always wore heels and leggings with her signature red lipstick and long, dark beautiful hair. Infact, she even wore them when we went to a petting zoo! Haha! You can kind of see them in the picture below. We were all dressed pretty cool that day (wink wink). I believe this was taken in 1994 or 1995. 

I'm so lucky to have had and will always have in my heart, the world's best auntie. I'm so thankful for the time my kids got to spend with her as well. I miss her so much it hurts. She was an angel among us. And while her time here with us physically was short, I know she lives on in our hearts and will always be watching over her family and friends. 

I moved away when Darlene was still a youngster, so most of my memories are of little Dolly.  I still remember watching her in track, where she ran like the wind, with her hair trailing behind her.  That long hair was always impressive.  She was a wonderful little sister, always happy and smiling.   
These last years showed a strength that few possess.  She was always so positive,  yet you knew how tough it was.

My favorite memory with Dolly, is when Alicia & Jaymi  We're probably about 4, and  They had this toy that always said I know what to do....So for many many years we always said I know what to do!!!
 Another very fond memory I have is after taking the kids to school I would always go to Dolly's house in my pajamas and bathrobe, and have coffee 💖

We were friends of Darlene through Bill's cousin George Shiels. Darlene was a wonderful person and will be sorely missed. Some of our fondest memories include the cruise we took together with George, Darlene, Jim (George's brother), and Joanie (George's sister-in-law) from San Francisco to Hawaii and around Hawaii in 2015. On that trip we took walkie-talkies to keep track of each other on the ship, and we all chose "handles" so that we would know who was talking. Darlene's handle was "Guppy". At the end of that trip, we stayed for several days at a beautiful hotel right on Waikiki beach--where Bill and Darlene sang many, many karaoke songs together--great fun! Back at home, George, Darlene, Jim, Joanie and us we would get together several times each year to watch Seahawk games and play poker. Our poker games were always very low stake--the "big winner" would be $20 ahead after 3 hours of play--and it is a wonderful memory that Darlene was the "big winner" the last time we played. Rest in peace, Darlene--we will miss you always! Bill and Pat Bond

 Where do I start my big sissy Darlene was only 13 months older than me we were so close growing up.  One of the funniest memories that we both used to laugh about was ,we made pies for a holiday get together with family . we went out the back door to put them in the shop refrigerator and I told her to be careful because it’s cold and the stairs are slick .she says oh I’m fine I said OK ? she hit the second step and her feet went  out from under her and the pies  went flying in the air we laughed so hard 

The funniest day was when we were working at Deluxe Check Printers. We were on our break outside. A bee started chasing Darlene. She ran the whole parking lot in high heels and her long hair blowing in the wind with the bee right behind her the whole time. We couldn't stop laughing. Steve, our manager, came over to us saying..."settle down girls". We had some good times. I love her and am going to miss her so much.
