

He was born to the late W. Mitchell and Selma Cogdill, July 13, 1929, in Sedro Woolley, WA. Don spent his youth in Clear Lake before moving to Everett. He graduated from Everett High School in 1947, and attended Everett Junior College, where he played on the championship football team of ‘47.
Don worked for Hostess Cake and had the north Everett-Marysville route for the majority of his 38 years. He became known as “The Legend” among is co-workers because of his honesty, his integrity, and his Christian values.
Don accepted The Lord as his savior at age 8 while he attended the Community Church in Clear Lake, WA. He remained active and faithful in his church his entire life.

In 1948, Don married the love of his life Signe N. Reese. They were happily married for 64 years. Don is survived by Signe; his 2 sisters, Maxine Hellum and Helen Lowery and his 2 brothers Robert and W. Mitchell; 4 children; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public Memorial Service will be held on April 12th at 2:00pm, at South Everett Community Church.
