Donald was born on May 6, 1927 in Minot, ND and was the 5th child of Neal and Lillie Irwin. He had 2 sisters Leone and Mattie; and 2 brothers Alvin and Milton who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Fern Irwin, his 2 daughters, Dona (Irwin) Eddy and Janet Irwin, 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 Purdy and Walter's at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA. Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. Memorial service will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m.
