Becky was born in Ohio in 1920, the youngest of Frank and Mary Breznai’s nine children. Proud of her Hungarian heritage and early hard working life on the family farm she never let an opportunity pass to share her convictions with anyone –work hard but make sure to have a lot of fun and always take care of your friends and family.
In the first of three marriages between the Bracik and Breznai families, Becky married John Bracik who lived on the farm next door in 1938. With the help of the families, they built their own home on adjacent property, cutting the wood from the family farms, even hand digging their own well. John and Becky loved growing and preserving their own food. During the war she worked at the Lordstown Ordinance depot and was a USNavy certified welder at Warren City Manufacturing.
After her baby boomer daughter Judith was born she kept busy with the Altar and Rosary Society at St James church, the mother’s club and mother’s singers at North Jackson School. After 32 years of marriage John died. She then worked in quality control for Elastomerics Products. She was remarried to their old family friend Isadore Frederick and moved to Youngstown and volunteered with Hospice and enjoyed crafting with the Austintown II Homemakers club. After Izzy died she moved to Washington to be near her daughter and grandchildren.
For the last five years she lived at Chateau Pacific assisted living and then for two years at Blue Hope adult Family home where she enjoyed and entertained the other residents and the wonderful caregivers.
The last of her generation, she was preceeded in death by her parents, her husbands and all of her brothers and sisters: Frank, John, James, Eleanor, Andy, Margaret, Mary and Joe; as well as all of her brothers and sisters-in-law: Anna, Mary, George, Elizabeth, Mike and Veronica, and four nieces and a nephew.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Bracik Davis, son-in-law Frank Davis, grandchildren Danika Schmidt( Zak Schmidt), Colin Davis, and great grandchildren Konnor and Elaina, and by 21 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Ohio at Lane Family Funeral Home in Austintown, Ohio, with burial at North Jackson Township Cemetery
