Heather’s journey began on the 11th of November, 1969 in Oklahoma. She was the older of 2 children, born to the union of her parents, Carol and Aiden Hamilton. She has a younger brother, Lance.
After moving around quite a bit during Heather’s childhood due to her father’s work, the family ended up in Washington State, where Heather attended Meadowdale Highschool in Edmonds.
And this is where Heather first met her future husband-to-be, Mark Arrington. They were sophomores at the time and Mark had been dating Heather’s best friend (Sarah). Then, by their senior year, Mark & Heather had become good friends, both graduating in the Class of ’88.
Soon after graduation, Heather was blessed her first daughter, Alyssa, who was born on July 2nd, 1991.
When Alyssa was about 2 years old, Heather and Mark reconnected and started dating. During this time, Mark, Heather abd baby Alyssa moved to Tucson, Arizona together where Mark was a full-time musician in a band, writing music for a producer there.
Heather and Mark dated for about 3 years, then their paths went separate ways.
For work, Heather had a career in sales for high-end outdoor apparel and in the banking industry. She would also nanny for families – which she especially enjoyed, since she could always have her daughter along with her.
Heather married her first husband, Chris Hall and soon, the couple were blessed with their daughter, Jenna who was born on September 5th, 1998.
Heather & Chris eventually divorced and then Heather moved from Washington to Portland and then to Texas, looking for job opportunities. She was a free spirit, liked to travel and would say that she was quote, “going wherever the wind will take me.”
While Heather was in Texas, she reconnected with Mark on Facebook, and she decided that she was going to move back to Washington, so they could get back together.
Heather moved to Lynnwood and she and Mark started dating again. Then, they were married on Christmas Day 2016, at his mother’s house in Edmonds, and Mark’s uncle officiated the ceremony and they moved into their home in Bothell, Washington.
Heather was loving, caring and amazingly supportive of anyone. She was brave and very persistent.
Some of Heather’s “favorites” included the color purple, classic rock and music by artists like Fleetwood Mac, BB King and Bob Marley, Mexican food (especially chicken mole, which she would order AND critique, every time she went to a Mexican restaurant)
and her favorite TV shows were “Below Deck” and “Love After Lockup”.
She really enjoyed camping and being out in nature and had a passion for garage selling and thrift store shopping.
Heather was one-of-a-kind and will always be remembered for the love and affection she shared with the world.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aiden Hamilton and those who remain to cherish Heather’s memory include her mother, Carol Hamilton, husband Mark Arrington, brother Lance Hamilton, daughters Alyssa and Jenna, her 3 grandchildren Marcos, Makayla and Mason, as well as the rest of Heather’s extended family and many friends.
A private Memorial Service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Lynnwood on April 21st 2020 at 11am.
At a later date, when current restrictions are lifted, Heather’s ashes will be buried at both the Abby View Memorial Park and at the Hamilton family plot in Lubbock, Texas.
