My Dear Arneson Family: You all are well aware what a special and wonderful man you had in your lives. He will always remain there and his memory continue in all of your hearts and minds.  Jim was very special to us, initially for bringing Southern Gospel Music to Yakima, but as time went by he became a very dear friend. I feel I know all of you, as he loved you all so much and always shared about his wonderful, loving family.  Jim never got discouraged (well, never showed it) when not too many folks would show up for concerts here. He never gave up on us and I thank him so much for that. The love of the Lord he had and brought will never be forgotten. We love you and Gods Blessings and comfort be with you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. This man will never be forgotten.

I did not personally know Jim and his family but enjoyed going to the summer activities he put together with many gospel artists. My brother Bill Clayton played the piano for Jim at one of his concerts. It is a great loss to all of us but I know he is up there with all the great signers that went before him. Dear Jim,  words can not even express the pain I feel from your passing.  So many memories of you at Bethel Assembly.  You never said much to me,  you didn't have to. I remember visiting the Arneson family when they lived at the church, our parents were friends, then in high school we sang in YFC's TeenTones, a great time. Over the years I've seen Jim at Hymn Sings, etc. Always counted Jim as one of our friends, met you Cheryl at Alderwood Mall several years ago. The service on Saturday was awesome, you all were amazing, such a great tribute to a very great man.

My heart was broken for you and your family when I heard about Jim.  He was bigger than life to me and I only knew you both over the last 30 years as my insurance agents!  It is clear from the many heartfelt messages posted what an impact both Jim and you have made in the lives of many people.

You are an amazing testament to what family is all about, both in the good times and very difficult times, such as losing Jim so tragically.  Without a doubt what would we do without Jesus and our faith in Him and that Jim is fully praising our Lord.

My heart is broken, not for Jim because he is shouting in heaven and "Camping Up Next to The Throne".  My heart is aching for his mother and all of his family!  He was our friend, our choir leader, He sang at my husbands home going in 2001.  After we moved out here we were so happy he came to our chuch and other local churches and sang with his groups. We love you all and are praying for you.  The world has lost a wonderful man and an awsome voice. Will see him soon!!

Jim was a man of genuine faith and real integrity who consistently lived out his ideals on a daily basis. Everyone who ever met him or saw him in concert felt his warmth and sincerity. He will be greatly missed by all, especially by his family, and it is wonderful to know that this separation is temporary. Soon we will all be singing together before the throne of the Lamb. My prayers for comfort go out to all of the Arneson family.  Jim was such a powerful Christian and I enjoyed not only his singing groups but also all the national southern gospel groups he arranged to come to our area.  I first knew Judi and Cathy through FOCAS and most of the family through them with activities and weddings.  I was touched when Jim and Cheryl and their daughter began singing together also.  He brought enjoyment to me of southern gospel music.  He will be greatly missed.  My sympathy to you all at this time of great loss.

We did not have the privilege of knowing Jim personally, but my husband and I had so enjoyed him, and his family singing at the Bethany Gospel Sings. We just saw him in January. I know there is much rejoicing in Heaven, but we will sure miss him here. His testimony in song was such a blessing to us both. Praying for his family.

To Jim's family:  I understand that words can be comforting but can never of course fill the hole this tragic incident has left in your lives.  I am so terribly sorry that you are faced with this experience.

The comfort of course is knowing Jim's destination.  I guess God needed one more bass for the heavenly choir.

I too have know Jim for a long time.  We were just kids when we first met and I can remember spending time at Jim and Dave's house, milking goats, playing ball, choir tours together and lot of other good memories.  Those memories have been and will contiuue to be cherished.

Just hold to this truth.  God is good all the time.  All the time, God is good.

God speed.  Go on the wings of God.  We shall meet again one day.

Met Jim many years ago when I worked for his father-in-law, Al Vogt, and my sister-in-law, Anna Mae, played for the Crossroads.  Over the years it was always fun to visit him at concerts and listen to his bass voice.  Such a dedicated man to sharing his faith in Jesus Christ thru gospel music.  My heart and prayers go out to Cheryl and the kids, the Arneson family, and to one of my mentors, Al Vogt.  Right now this tragedy does not make sense, but, "someday we'll understand it better bye and bye".

Jim, we'll miss your beautiful smile and voice. You've touched so many people with the spirit of the Lord. Our lifes are better because we knew you. All our love and prayers to the family.

We have great memories of Jim with the quartet at our church (Tabernacle Baptist in Shoreline) and also at Camp Gilead last year.  He had a spiritual impact on thousands! Dear Arneson family:  Jim was such a blessing to us as missionaries in Africa for over 27 years now.  Each time we came back to the USA to give a report to our donors he and Cheryl went to bat for us so we had car insurance for the year or so we were home.  A true warrior has left us but not his legacy- that remains.  May God fill the void you are feeling right now with understanding that can only come from Him.

Jim was a blessing and a treasure to all that knew him. I remember him and his kindness as a child growing up. I can only imagine his glorious rejoicing and praises he is singing to the Lord in heaven. I am sorry for the sudden loss of Jim and I will continue to pray for peace for his wife, children and extended family.

So sad to see Jim leave us so soon.  What a legacy he has left behind.  Our family feels so honored to call him 'friend'.  He sang in my wedding and both of my parent's (and grandfather's) funerals.  What a treasure he and his family have been to all who know them.

I am thankful for Jim's contribution to Souther Gospel music and for the friendship we had through the years.  We will all miss him, but look forward to praising the Lord together in heaven.

Jim...was a high school buddy...we met in the choir sitting side by side having a ball singing...we have the same first name so I called him "Arnie" and I was "Murph"..we shared a special time in the swing assemble...you could tell he was blessed his voice shared what was destined to be his life's passion...Jim was real...a friend you could count on no matter the circumstance...a man of honor..he was available when called by his Lord..to serve  and comfort those in their need...a solder  for the Lord...Jim walked in faith each day an example for us all...I'm sorry for your loss Arneson family...my heartful prayers are for the Lords strength to hold you in this time of grief... I know that Heavens choir had just been given a great Bass singer! I will join him someday. Until then we will praise the Lord here but it will not compare to how Jim can look at the face of Jesus when he sings now.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim. I have known him for a long time. We went to church camp together, saw him at all the CA Thanksgiving conventions and was on chior tour to Springfield, Mi together. He was a wonderful man. A man I admired so much because he did what he always loved to do and that was sing. Now he is singing with the angels. He will be missed so much but not forgotten. May God be very close to his family at this time.

We are so to have known Jim. He brought the gospel music to Yakima. He will be missed.

Jim had a huge number of friends and we were glad to be part of that number. We usually saw him at the Yakima concerts and he always let us know that he appreciated our attendance there. He was a wonderful Christian man.
