Jim was circulation manager of the Everett Herald for 23 years. He went on to the Seattle Times and was a key member in putting together the Joint Operating Agreement between the Times and Seattle P.I. Jim continued to work for the Seattle Post Intelligencer until he retired in 1994.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Jerrold David. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Darlene, son Jim Larsen (Susan), daughter Jenny Greene (Dwayne), grandchildren Twila Hammontree (Tony), Rex Larsen (Shelly), Staff Sergeant Bradley Larsen, Heather Volle (Ken), Jarreau Greene, Maria Greene, Kassidi Rhinehardt, and great grandchildren Brianna, Becca, Belle and Lili.
