

Jim was born April 3rd 1935 in Wichita Falls, TX and raised in Sapulpa, OK by his parents John and Clara Seidlits Vaughn.
Jim joined the Army serving Battery A, 21st AAA AW, Bn at 18 years of age and served during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged in 1957 he began his working career for the Southern Pacific Railroad in California. Later, moving to Seattle, he started working for Seattle Metro Transit in 1967. He was a well respected Metro Bus driver serving the Seattle community for over 30 years. Jim retired in 1997
Jim was an active member of Post 37 of the American Legion in Lynnwood. Member of the Edmonds Calvary Church. Loyal Seattle Seahawks fan, and later found the joy of watching indoor and outdoor Lacrosse. Jim and De, also, enjoyed traveling, for many years, in their RV across the US, Canada & the Yukon.
Jim is survived by his wife, DeLories, of 35 years. His sons Jimmy(Cyndi), Mike (Jan), Scott(Sarah), Chris(Laura) & Eric(Rachel). Daughter Valla(Larry).
Eleven Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Two brothers, John(Angie) and Ralph of Oklahoma.
Jim was preceded in death by his Dad, John Howard Vaughan, Mother Clarabel Seidlits Vaughn, sisters Reba and Marlyne. Stepson Mark Douglas Helms. His first wife Barbara Mears.
A Memorial ,open house, will be held September 12th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Vaughn home, located at 2503 191st PL SW Lynnwood WA 98036
Memorial donations in Jim’s honor, can be made, to the Wounded Warrior Project.
