Preceded in death by her parents Doris and George Koch, and brother Wayne. Survived by her husband Bob, son Drew (Gerri) and granddaughter Alouette of Australia, and son Walker of Bothell. Also survived by cousins Nancy, Jeff and Julie Brown of Oregon.
Janet was a graduate of Glacier H.S. ’72, SPU ’95, UW Danforth ’07, receiving many academic honors along the way.
Always eager to get involved, Janet was active in community affairs, was a Preschool President, PTA President, chaired various school district committees, and was a supporter of youth sports. Janet was a stay at home mom/student until she began her 18 year career as an elementary school teacher in the Edmonds School Dist. Family was her greatest passion along with teaching, reading, traveling and baking. Teaching provided her with the opportunity to “give back,” something she felt everyone has a responsibility to do. She touched many lives and leaves countless memories.
Our family would like to acknowledge Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and the entire staff of Doctors, Nurses, and Administrative personnel for their professionalism, compassion and dedication to their patients and services they provide.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s name can be made to assist in Pancreatic Cancer Research through:
