

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Kamo Arakelov. At 70 years of age, he passed away at Evergreen Health Hospice in Kirkland, WA on August 4th after a long struggle with heart disease.
Kamo was born on August 2, 1954 in Kazakhstan to Armen Arakelov and Evgeniya Mkhitaryan. Following his passion for soccer, Kamo played professionally for many years before changing career to a sports trainer. Following the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh War, Kamo embarked on a remarkable journey filled with adventure and discovery, which eventually brought him and his family to United States in January of 1992. In Seattle area Kamo worked as a soccer referee and a limousine driver and made friends in Seattle area where he lived.
Above all else, Kamo treasured his role as a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Natalya, his partner and confidant through life’s joys and challenges. As an affectionate father to his daughter Kamilla and to his step-son Alexander, he instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience and unwavering love. His presence will forever resonate in their hearts.
Funeral services for Kamo will be held Friday, August 16th 2024 at 11am at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood with burial and reception to follow.
