LaDonna Wolbert was born on August 9, 1942, to the late G.W. High and Helen High, in Oakland, California. She moved to the Puget Sound area in early childhood, where she lived until her passing on February 1, 2025.
LaDonna was surrounded by the love of her children: John H. Sholander, JoDeen Sholander, Elizabeth Sholander, and Fabian Esparza. She was also the proud grandmother of Robert Sholander, David Herbert, Michelle Sholander, Preston Esparza Sholander, and Carter Esparza Sholander, as well as a great-grandmother to sweet little Sophia Sholander. These were the people who meant the world to her, and she was a devoted mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to all.
LaDonna’s greatest joy was being surrounded by family, especially during holiday gatherings. She loved trying new recipes and had a passion for kitchenware, which she used to bring people together and create lasting memories.
She also treasured spending time with friends, whether it was enjoying a hearty brunch together or chatting on the phone with those who lived too far away for a meal. She found peace in gardening and cherished the time spent with her son, Johnny, in the garden.
LaDonna’s legacy is one of love, nurturing, and giving. Though she is no longer with us, LaDonna is at peace with her Lord and Savior. Her love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire us all.
