

Lowell Keith Lince was born in Selah, Washington Christmas Eve 1933 to parents Oswald and Dorothy Lince. As a young boy, he had many great experiences, including learning to work hard in the orchards, fishing, listening to many famous Jazz players like Gene Krupa from the side stage at Playland Dance Hall, where his parents worked for a time, and riding along with his father, who was a Deputy Sheriff.
He graduated from Selah high school and attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. As a young man Lowell became involved in the meat industry as a butcher in the Yakima area. He married Joann Lince Nov. 6th 1955 and had four energetic boys Edward, Timothy, Kevin, and Matthew.
Lowell and Joann moved their young family to the Seattle area and he worked as a meat cutter at QFC until his retirement. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball. After meeting Tony Monfiletto he became very active in youth sports at the Alderwood Manor Youth Club Association. Lowell was instrumental in creating the basketball program by recruiting many fathers and coaching hundreds of kids.
He enjoyed his church, church choir, and attended numerous bible studies. Lowell led the bible study at the Monroe Correctional Complex leading many prisoners to Jesus Christ. Along with fishing the local streams and rivers, target shooting with friends and grandsons, and what he called “familying”.
Lowell is preceded in death by his wife Joann and sons Matthew and Edward. He is survived by his brother Ron, two sisters Joyce and Louise and sons Timothy and Kevin. His 6 grandchildren, Jesse, Jennifer, Joseph, Heather, Tanner and Brooklyn and 6 great grandchildren Damon, William, Hayden, Manus, Bennett, and Avery
Lowell’s family continues to carry on his passions by attending church, enjoying the outdoors, and being active in sports.
A funeral service for Lowell will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036. A graveside service will occur at 2:00 PM with a reception from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
