She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Dora Pettibone as well as her first husband, Bill Rueter, Sr. and her second husband, Orville Simpson. Her siblings, Orville, Lois, Dona and Glen, have all preceded her in death as well.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Bill) Schoentrup and Bill (Cheryl) Rueter, as well as her step children, Carol Davis, Stephen (Brittney) Simpson, Ron Simpson, Danny (Vonda) Simpson. Marge also has two surviving sisters in law, Shirley and Susie Pettibone. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and was a wonderful grandmother to her many grandchildren and greats.
