Born in Buffalo, New York to Margaret and Julius Gust. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Gloria Domon and brother Melvin Gust. She is survived by her husband Gordon, daughter Jennifer A. Lervold (Donald), son David K. Schurman (Trina), and grandchildren Kasey and Shane Lervold and Tate and Quinn Schurman. Marlene graduated from East High School in Buffalo and spent most of her career in the travel industry, including 27 years with United Airlines. Her career in the airline industry fueled her desire to travel. She had a love for dogs, including taking in strays so they would feel loved. Throughout her life, she enjoyed opening her doors to entertain family and friends alike. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a doting grandmother. We will not forget her loving and caring nature or the profound influence she had on our lives. At her request there will be a private service for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice. There will be an open house in her honor on Saturday, November 6th from 1 to 6PM graciously hosted by the Steffy Family.
