Marvin is preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Evelyn Lush, his parents Dale and Virginia Collins, and two siblings: Larry J. Collins and Virginia L.(Ginger) Ross.
Marvin leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Vivian Collins; his ten children: Marvin Jr. (Kim), Daniel, Monika (Luke Sr.), Kevin, Kelly (Luke), Nathan, Brent, Taylor (Brandon), Samantha (Sean), Patrick (Maitri). Marvin was a grandfather to 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of them, whom, he held in his heart as the very best.
He was also dearly loved by his special sister-in-law, Cece, who cared for him through some of his health challenges. He cherished and spoke proudly of all those he loved.
Marvin was a proud retired U.S. Army Veteran and often shared memories and stories from his time served.
His sense of humor and strong mindset made him a pillar of strength for his family, many friends, and "all them neighborhood kids", too.
Our dad and husband will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially for his storytelling. He was a man of wisdom with a wealth of knowledge gained from his life experiences. Marvin could always be counted on to tell great stories.
Dad’s legacy of love, humor and dedication to all will live on in each of the hearts who were fortunate to know him.
Forever, the man, the myth, our legend.
